Standing Desk

Standing desk setup

I've always thought about getting a standing desk, since I hate sitting for long periods of time. My new job provides a work-from-home stipend, so naturally I took them up on the offer.

I bought a Maidesite EL2 electric standing desk — just the legs, as I luckily had a nice solid wood desktop lying in the shed.

It was fairly simple to set up and had good instructions. The legs have a premium feel, and I chose the more expensive version with curved style.

It turned out great, and I set it up in one afternoon with just a hand screwdriver. The timer to switch positions is excellent, and I've been having much better back posture because of it.

I also bought a chair off Gumtree in Belfast called the "Orangebox Do Better," for 80 pounds.

Overall, this setup has been a success with very little money spent.
